KL Rovers Academy (KLRA) is a grassroots football academy under the supervision of the Kuala Lumpur Football Association that was established on 1 January 2017. A KLRA/KLFA joint venture program that is fully supported by the KLFA President, Dato Seri Adnan Md Ikhsan.
The main objective is to rekindle the passion for football, especially in the city of Kuala Lumpur. In addition, this grassroots program can be used as an important platform to find and develop new football talents under the auspices of the Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia football association in particular. The loyal spirit of friends, community life and love for the football team that was once loved by many in Kuala Lumpur became the basic inspiration for the establishment.
KLRA continues to follow and support the Malaysian football movement where the National Football Development Program is made a stream and also uses the DNA of Malaysian football recommended by the Malaysian Football Association.
A total of 10 fully experienced and certified coaches and 5 support officers who help in the management are the main pillars in realizing the dream of making Kuala Lumpur one of the famous football cities in the world one day.
The coaches at KL Rovers Academy are qualified and experienced. Coming from various experiences, there are ex-Kuala Lumpur players, ex-professional players, some are teachers, some have worked as coaches for the National Football Development Program, some have been writers, ex-soldiers and some are also former KLRA players themselves.
Adhering to the spirit of the country, dedication, commitment, discipline, teaching for the sake of development is the main pillar of coaching in addition to instilling a very entertaining football spirit as the main basis of the training program.
